IRWA Chapter 39 serves the educational and professional development needs of affiliates in San Antonio and South Texas through continuing education courses, chapter meetings, seminars and access to IRWA’s annual education conference.

IRWA’s primary goal is to provide infrastructure real estate education and credentialing opportunities as a means of distinguishing our members in the professional marketplace. Our industry-specific curriculum allows for professional credentialing in four industries: Electric & Utilities, Public Agencies, Oil & Gas Pipeline, and Transportation. We also offer certification opportunities in Appraisal, Asset Management, Negotiation and Acquisition, Relocation Assistance, and the Uniform Act. 

IRWA works to create industry-wide recognition of our designations and certifications, and to elevate the role of right of way professionals by strengthening their industry relevance.

We welcome those who are engaged in the acquisition, management, or disposition of property in connection with community, regional, or national improvements, including highways, flood control projects, public utility construction, pipelines, railroads, or other public development activities.
